Bird watching

The Pelagos Sanctuary is not only home to cetaceans, but is also inhabited by many species of seabirds, which you can observe and learn to recognize both during our whale watching trips and, especially, during the tours and excursions organized specifically for bird watching lovers. The species we have encountered over the years are ninety-three! Below you will find a description of the activities, the schedule, the rates and the links to make your reservations.

The place of departure is in GENOA PORTO ANTICO, at the beginning of Spinola Pier, where is set the Aquarium of Genoa.

The reservation is always required (preferably at least ten days before the chosen date).

Please arrive 40 minutes before the departure.

The Seaport Ornithological Tour (Birdtour of the port of Genoa) scheduled on Saturday has a duration of about 2 hours: 45 minutes of frontal lesson of bird watching, held on board by biologist and nature guide Gabriella Motta, and 1 hour and 15 minutes of port navigation to immediately put into practice everything you have learned (how to use binoculars, how to recognize seabirds, how to photograph them... and much more!).

The excursion Bird Watching by sea lasts about 4 and a half hours, entirely spent at sea together with the scientific staff of the Liguria Via Mare Consortium (find out who we are by clicking here).
